A huge thank you to all those who entered our Legendary Polo Competition. We had loads of fun judging the entries but there could be only 3 winners - please see below for their entries. We will be sharing a few commended entries in the near future too, so keep coming back to see if yours appears!
I think we were all impressed by the poem Suzy Harris wrote about her “superhero” husband!
He's great at plucking eyebrows,
He shapes them with such pride,
And when my hair needs sorting
Trevor Sorbie, step aside!
A skill for mending hoovers
With computers he's a whizz
Whatever's needing mending,
With his spanner he's the biz!
A foot rub sent from heaven,
Or making perfect cups of tea,
I really feel so lucky
That my hubby's wed to me.
He's not afraid of housework
Or knocking up a dinner,
An all round superhero
My hubby is a winner.

How could we fail to help Margaret Young’s husband’s dream come true after this touching story?
I was standing at the door of the village hall in my WJAC uniform shaking a charity tin when this handsome young man in his ATC uniform came up to me. He asked, “If I put some money in your tin will you kiss me?” This was 53 years ago and we are still happily talking aeroplanes! My husband’s passion is Concorde. We treated his Mum to a flight on Concorde although he would have dearly loved to have gone himself. His unselfishness, sense of humour and love for our two girls and me make him the most wonderful husband.

After hearing about Karen Lane’s husband’s kind act for his children last year, we thought he deserved a special day for himself!
Last year my hubby spent his Father's Day building our two children a pirate ship/climbing frame in the garden! It started out as a fairly modest project but turned out to be a mammoth task which went on for weeks! There was no breakfast in bed that day, no traditional Sunday lunch or tea time barbecue. It was just a limp sarnie grabbed on the run whilst balancing a frame in one hand and a saw in the other! How lovely for this Father's Day to be just about HIM?

Congratulations to all our winners and we hope you enjoy your amazing simulator experience flying Concorde.
